We want to hear from you!
Neil Roby, our Chair of Governors runs our Governor Clinics. These give the opportunity to meet with Governors, find out about their role in the school and also discuss ideas and feedback in an informal manner.
In December, parents gave feedback on the lunchtime clubs that we have been running and gave suggestions for how we can expand these opportunities. They also discussed how learning could be taken outdoors and in to the the community in different ways. Parents also gave positive feedback on our new well-being initiatives for children.
NEXT GOVERNOR CLINIC - PLANNED IN FOR TERM 5 - PROVISIONAL DATE 24TH MAY 2:45 (in The Hub)
Parent Meets are run by the Senior Leadership of the school. The meetings are designed to create a forum in which parents can get up to date information about the work of the school.
NEXT PARENT MEET WITH SLT = 21st and 22nd March.
For this we would like to invite parents to take a tour of the school with a member of the leadership team to find out about every aspect of Chilton.
It may have been some time since you had a good look around and we would love to show you The Chilton Way! The tours will be very informal and we will be open to any questions or discussion points as we walk around.
We are offering these tours by appointment in small groups on both Wednesday 21st March and Thursday 22nd March at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00. This will allow you to see the school in action!
If you would be interested in one of these tours, please call the school office to book your place (we are running them just as we would for prospective parents).
To start each seasonal term, we hold information sessions (September, January and April) where class teachers invite parents in to hear about the terms ahead. Information on learning, the timetable, trips and expectation is shared. We hold two sessions - one at 9:00 and one at 3:15 and also send the information home for those unable to attend.
Weekly home learning letters are published online each Friday. These outline the learning that has been completed and also what is planned for the week ahead. Important messages and reminders are also published in these letters. Paper copies are always available on request.
Curriculum letters are published to start each new term - these are available on year group pages and on paper by request. They outline important aspects of what the children will be learning.
Fortnightly whole school newsletters communicate important information about the work and achievements of the school along with messages and key dates.
Our blogs are updated regularly - these are a great way to keep in touch with what we have been up to on a weekly basis.
We endeavour to send texts with updates and advance warnings of events and will always keep our social media pages updated with what's been going on and what is coming up.
