Learning this week:

Street Child has continued to grip up as we learn more about the characters. This week we have got to know Grimy Nick’s character and the learnt more about how Victorian Children were treated. Our writing has been a non-chronological report about Victorians; this has given us the opportunity to draw our learning together and present it in a formal way.

In maths we finalised our learning on converting fractions to decimals. Our learning then progressed onto identifying properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We have worked with nets of shapes can identify the 2D shapes which make the nets of 3D shapes.

Our topic lessons have focused on Queen Victoria. It has been fantastic to see your Love to Learn and your enthusiasm.

Home Learning:

Please complete the mymaths task

(if you have issues logging on, please complete a TTRS garage activity instead)

SPAG activity – next week we will be learning about contractions. Complete a poster explaining what the different types of contractions are.

There is no right or wrong way to complete a Love to Learn task! Please be as imaginative or as creative as you would like! Love to Learn tasks should be returned on the Wednesday following them being set. Whilst books may not be formally marked, in class we will spend time looking at and enjoying what everyone has learned at home and rewards and house points will be given!
