One Childhood, One Chance

Wednesday 1.4.20 Home Learning

Good Morning Year Three!

Thank you to everybody who has been using the padlet, it has been lovely to hear from you. It's the last day of term today, so we thought we would give you some fun activities for you to do. There are some Easter themed sheets attached for you to complete at your leisure and a 24 hour bingo game and board game to play, to help you with you maths. There are also some slides to help with structuring your home learning and a wonderful guide on mindfulness.

Holiday Activities

During the holidays, we would like you to read as often as you can. If you were given a classics book, such as The Jungle Book, Swallows and Amazons, etc, then we would like you to write a review on the book you have read.

For maths, we would like you to choose one day to keep a diary, describing what you have been doing on that day. Try to make 8 - 10 entries and log the time when you write what you have been doing. As a challenge, log the time in as many different formats as you can, for example: 6 o'clock, 18:00, 6:00pm - I had my dinner

Your Topic challenge is to observe, draw and describe every force we have learnt about, at home. Can you find the effects of gravity, air resistance, water resistance and friction at home?

Finally, we often play you the music of the artist of the week in the mornings and Mrs Law talks to you about a musician she has chosen. We would like you to pick a musician, listen to their music, tell us why you love that artist and how they might have inspired you. If you are looking some ideas about who to listen to I (Mr Mason) would recommend: Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Miles Davis.
