One Childhood, One Chance

Tuesday 21st April

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Tuesday's home learning. Mr Abel and Mrs Gale are working through calling all of the children of Team Peacock and Team Azure and, if they haven't already, look forward to speaking to you soon!

Thank you for continuing to send through your learning and well done for the wonderful timelines created yesterday tracking people of the past such as Julius Caesar and Julie Andrews.

Thank you to both parents and children for the amazing effort and commitment shown to home learning and keeping Chilton alive remotely.

Today's learning is as follows:

Maths

Continue working on your rounding skills. There are some 10, 100, 1000 mixed activities to work on today after reading the powerpoint but if you want to focus your practice, feel free to use some of Monday's sheets which are particular to one value.

English

For Guided Reading, you will need to complete some clarifications then you will be continuing to work on exciting word choices, focusing in on nouns and adjectives, today.

Topic

Write a piece of persuasive writing about why your chosen historical figure is so important/awesome and why the rest of Year 4 needs to know about them/research them. You could even write a lesson to Mrs Gale or Mr Abel persuading them to teach the rest of the class about your chosen person. A persuasive language word mat is attached.

Happy birthday to Queen Elizabeth II (and also Robert Smith of The Cure!)

Have a wonderful day
