In English and RE this week we have been learning about the beliefs of Buddhists. We have found out about the history of Buddhism and the teachings. We have learnt about Reincarnation and Karma. The week ended by looking at Buddhist worship. The children made prayer flags that are usually decorated with Buddhist mantras, so we decided to decorate ours with our 'mantra' - The Chilton Way.

We finished a very hard working first week back with some meditation - some of us also attempted the 'Lotus' position favoured by Buddhists and represented by the Buddha.
