One Childhood, One Chance

Remembrance

We have been learning why poppies are on sale.

Today we learnt about why we buy and wear poppies. As this is a delicate topic, we taught the children that a long time ago, there was a war where lots of people died. We then learnt that after the war, poppies grew in the battle fields and that is why we wear them. We held our own 2 minutes silence and listened to The Last Post play while we were sitting silently. Have a look at the outside display board for our wreath.
