Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly News

What an incredible term!  It has flashed by in the blink of an eye!  Year 6 have worked so hard as they worked towards their SATs and Year 6 teachers - as well as other staff around the school - are so proud of what they have achieved.

This week, we have continued to focus on our writing, finalising a holiday leaflet and creating chapter one of our new text, 'The London Eye Mystery'.  We also used our skills to solve problems, using the most efficient method to find solutions.  This week, it culminated in a fun relay race team game where children had lots of fun to crack the codes.

As we approach term 6 - the final term at Chilton - we hope that everyone enjoys what is left of their primary school career.  Please rest well during the half term break; you have all deserved it.

Today, children brought home their script for the Year 6 production.  We are proud to announce that 'Flash!' will be the end of year performance.  Love to Learn during the holidays is to become familiar with the script, particularly any lines that you may have.  Those who are stage crew and lights will have an important role so must know stage directions specifically.

We will have a chance to rehearse next term so don't worry if you have a larger speaking role; just make a start of learning your lines.

Have a lovely holiday!
