One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly news

I English this week, year 2 have started to read 'The Magic Faraway Tree' by Enid Blyton. They have been reading about the adventures of the children then described these focusing on using exciting adjectives, different ways of starting their sentences and using questions and exclamations in their writing. They have also created their own world using cotton wool then they described these in their books.

In Maths, they have revisited using the column method for adding and subtracting. They have been challenged to also use carrying when adding and exchanging when subtracting.

In topic, the children have spent some time in the forest school creating a squirrel run! Also, they have spent time looking and discovering the continents and oceans of the world.

Home learning

We would like the children to create a model/drawing/painting of the world.
