Dear Families,
What a fantastic week it has been at Chilton Primary School! I want to extend a huge thank you to all of our families for your continued support and engagement—it truly makes a difference. A special shout-out to everyone who joined us for the Wednesday’s Wake-and-Shake! The energy was incredible, and we’re thrilled to announce that this fun, active start to the day will be happening again next Wednesday. We can’t wait to see you there for another morning filled with music, movement, and smiles!
I am also delighted to share that our school attendance this week remains above 98%! This is fantastic news, and I couldn’t be prouder of the commitment shown by our children and families. While we all get ill from time to time, and these things can’t be helped, minimising lost learning time is a priority for us. I am passionate about creating an environment where children are eager to come to school, not just for their lessons, but because they are excited to be part of our school community. Your support in helping foster this enthusiasm is truly appreciated.
Now, for some exciting news! I’m thrilled to announce that, starting the week after next, we will be launching a brand-new initiative: Monday is now… Game Day! This is part of our ongoing mission to make Chilton Primary the happiest school in Kent. We want our children to come to school not only because they are excited for their learning but also because they are eager to see their friends, play, and have fun. In fact, play is one of our key priorities this year. We’ve already increased the amount of playtime across the school, and Monday Game Day is another opportunity for us to ensure that Chilton is a safe, happy place where our children can thrive.
As we get ready to launch this new initiative, we would love your support! If you have any games at home that are no longer being used and would like to donate them to the school, we would be so grateful. This will help us build a wide range of games for the children to enjoy throughout the school. If you do plan to donate a game, please make sure that all pieces are complete so that it can be fully enjoyed by everyone.
