Thank you all for another fantastic week at Chilton – your energy and enthusiasm continue to shine through, even as the colder weather has unexpectedly set in! It’s been heartening to see children arriving each day with smiles on their faces, ready to learn and take part in everything our school has to offer.
I’d like to start with a quick apology for the absence of Wake and Shake this week – I know it’s a firm favourite for many of our children (and adults too!). Due to our sports leaders being heavily involved in SATs preparation, and then being on activity week in the final week of term, Wake and Shake will return after half term!
A huge congratulations must go to our wonderful Year 3 children, who delivered an outstanding class assembly yesterday. Their confidence, creativity and teamwork were on full display and they made us all incredibly proud. A big thank you as well to the families who were able to attend – your presence and support means so much to us and to the children. We are always grateful for the way you engage with every aspect of school life.
Next week is SATs Week, which is an exciting and important time for our Year 6 pupils. The children have worked exceptionally hard throughout the year and have made tremendous progress. The SATs offer them the opportunity to showcase all they have learned during their time at Chilton and to celebrate their success and growing confidence. We are proud of each and every one of them. They will finish the week with an exciting trip to London on Friday for a flight on the London Eye and trip down the Thames on a river boat.
As ever, thank you all for your continued support, for the time you invest in your children’s education, and for the trust you place in us as a school. It’s a genuine pleasure to work with such a committed and caring community.
Wishing you a restful weekend,
Warm regards,
Mr McAuley
