One Childhood, One Chance

Daily Learning 12.05.20

Good morning everyone!  You're in for a treat this week!  Martyn Harvey, a poet and friend of the school, would like to help with your English learning this week:

Click here to see today's poem video!  The poem is also attached, below if you would prefer to read it.  This is a great opportunity to be bug detectives and be creative with your writing.  We would love to see your own videos and read your poems on the subject!

Here is your Maths for today.  Remember for division, the 'bus stop' method is a good method for division.  To show a remainder, you can present this as a whole number remainder (for example R=2), as a fraction (for example R=2/5, where the denominator is your divisor-the number you are dividing by) or as a decimal remainder (for example 0.4).  When working through these questions, try to present your remainders in a range of ways:

Here is a challenge for you if you would like:

Your Topic learning today follows on from your map work from yesterday.  Here are a couple of links to help you research different types of maps and for what purpose they are used. Research up to six different types. Present your research in any way you wish.

Have a lovely day everyone!
