One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly News

This week in maths, the children have been continuing to add.  They have been solving addition word problems - they have done so well with this! Well done children!  You could give your child some simple word problems to solve at home (e.g. I eat 3 sweets and you eat 2 sweets, how many sweets are eaten altogether?)

In topic, the children have been focussing on Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  They have been learning to retell this story in the correct order and have completed some writing based around this story.  The children have also had the opportunity to retell the story through role play using masks for the characters and have used the construction materials to build the cottage.

Please ensure that children have a PE kit in school (shorts, t-shirt, plimsolls) as we use these on a Friday afternoon.

Please see the letter sent home this week regarding the Chinese food tasting - please do let us know if there are any dietary requirments we need to be aware of and send the £2 in a named envelope.

Please see the photos below which show some of the children enjoying their busy time this week!
