One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly News 7.6.19

Welcome back to Term 6!  How quickly this year has gone.

Firstly, a big thank you and well done for the fabulous love to learn which has already been sent in this week.  The children have been enjoying talking about what they have did for their learning at home in front of the class (we will continue to do this over the term).

In maths this week, the children have been learning to double numbers - they have amazed us with how well they can do this!

In topic, we have been describing minibeasts in our writing tasks and have been drawing different minibeasts and using appropriate colours to add extra detail to our drawings.  Next week we will be continuing with our minibeasts topic.

A reminder that PE is on a Friday afternoon and a full PE kit should be in school.

As we are experiencing warmer weather, please ensure all children have a named water bottle in school every day and a sun hat and sun cream applied when necessary.  Thank you!

This week the whole school have been using the forest area to complete different challenges.  In Reception, the children had to make a birds next.  It had to be off of the floor, be comfortable and only be made from natural materials.  The children loved this challenge!
