Sticks and stones....
This week we have been focusing on using kind words and the effect it can have on others if we use unkind words. We read the story 'Something else'. We considered how the different characters felt throughout the story and how we feel when someone says something unkind to us. We came up with some ideas surrounding what we can do when someone uses unkind words. We decided we would say "Stop. I don't like what your saying". We spoke about then being brave and walking away. We also spoke about how sharing how we are feeling with a friend or grown up can also help us to feel better.
In maths this week we have been learning about money. We re-capped the value of each coin and what they look like. We then found different ways to make 10p and 20p using a variety of coins. We then applied this knowledge by paying the correct amount of money for things at our 'shop'.
