One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly News - 18.7.19

We have come to the end of the last full week in Reception! How this year has flown! The children have done marvellously well this year and we are proud of each and every one of them.  Well done Team Teal and Team Periwinkle for a fabulous year.

This week in maths, we have been subtracting numbers.  We started off doing this practically and then started to use the number line to count backwards to subtract.

In topic, we have read 'Pirates in the Supermarket'.  We have done lots of drama activities around this.  We acted out the story and then we thought about where the pirates go next and what mischief they would get up to there! There has been some amazing acting this week!

On Monday, the children who have kept 100% of their points went to the park.  The children were incredibly well behaved.  Well done.  For those children who have kept 95% of their points or more, we will be having some inflatable fun on Monday.

A reminder that school finishes at 2pm on Tuesday.

We would like to take this opportunity for all of your support over the past year.  It has been wonderful teaching the children and also having your full support.  We wish you all a relaxing and (hopefully!) sunny holiday.

Best Wishes,

The Reception Team
