This week in Maths we have been learning to measure. We started the week by learning to compare objects by their length and height and moving onto ordering objects by their size. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we learnt to use non-standard units of measure to see how long or tall objects were. We used paper clips and our hands to measure objects. We loved heading outside to measure some larger objects around school. On Thursday and Friday, we started to measure using rulers. We have really enjoyed our Maths this week. Next week, we will be starting to add and subtract using length and height.

In English and Topic, we have been designing and making vehicles. We designed our vehicles in pairs and then used junk modelling to make them. It was great fun. We then evaluated our vehicles; discussing what the best parts of our vehicles were and what parts we thought we could make better next time.

Today, you will receive your Nativity script, with details of the play on. We will be making headbands in school to wear at the play, so no-one will need to send in a costume. Our Nativity is on Tuesday 10th December at 9.15 in the school hall. If you have any questions regarding the Nativity please just ask.

Friday 13th December: Christmas Come Dine with me for all children who have siblings in school. Christmas Fayre 3.30-5.00pm in school hall.

Tuesday 17th December: KS1 Christmas Party - non school uniform

Wednesday 18th December: Christmas jumper day and school Christmas lunch for pupils and staff. This is the last day of term and school will finish at 2pm.
