We hope you have a wonderful day!
Lots of love
Miss Davey and Miss Keam
P.S we will add to this blog post daily by 9 each morning :)
Tuesday 24th March:
Morning Year 2!
Playlist: Elvis Presley
Fact of the day: It can take ten minutes for a falling raindrop to travel from a rainforest’s thick canopy to the floor!
Morning Journal: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?
Feelings: Miss Keam is feeling on green today because she is calm. What colour are you on? Why?
Guided Reading: Looking at just the front cover of the book ‘Window’ by Jeannie Baker – Predict what you think it will be about? (No cheating!)
English: Here is the story 'Window'
We would like you to retell the story from the point of view of Sam. How does he feel?
Describe what you can see and hear. You could use a range of adventurous adjectives and remember you need to write in first person.
Art: Draw/Paint/Create another view from the same window before the first image in the book and / or after the last image in the book.
Maths: Today in Maths we would like to you to take a look at Money!
1) Remind yourself of the coins – what do they look like? What amount do the coins hold?
2) With real coins, make amounts. For example, make 20p, £1 etc! You can record this in anyway that you like. This might be a calculation e.g. 10p+ 5p+5p=20p or in jottings form. (Questions attached - How much is in the jar)
