Love to Learn and Spellings 8.11.19

Love to Learn this week is a maths and a SPAG challenge.

We will be learning about shapes for the next 2 weeks. We would like you to find shapes and draw or take photos of them. Then label them with their name and describe their properties (for 2D shapes, you will need to say how many sides and vertices (corners) they have and for 3D shapes, describe how many edges, faces and vertices (corners) they have).

We have been learning to use emotive language (words that show emotions and feelings). We would like you to think of 3 synonyms for each of these emotion words. A synonym is a word that means the same as the word e.g. for happy you may use thrilled.

happy                    sad                         worried                     scared                  shocked

If you have a thesaurus, this will help you with this task.
