One Childhood, One Chance

Year 3 Weekly News! 1.2.19

We have created character descriptions in English and been working on equivalent fractions in maths.

This week in English we been creating descriptions fora range of different characters from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. We started looking at their appearance, describing their clothes, face and body. We then progressed onto describing the attitude and behaviours of these characters as well as predicting how characters may change after what they have experienced in the factory.

In maths we have been exploring equivalent fractions. We started the week using a range of different resources to compare fractions against each other until they occupied the same amount of shape, showing they are equivalent. We then progressed onto using multiplication and division to calculate equivalent fractions.

Love to Learn this week has a creative focus.

We would like you to draw and describe your own Aztec god. Think about what it looks like, what they are the god of, how they would behave and what powers they have. You can draw, paint, collage or make your god in anyway you choose.
