Head's Up 3rd April 2025

Dear Families,
As we reach the end of this fantastic term, I want to take a moment to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to every single one of you. What a term it has been!
There have been so many moments of joy, collaboration, and achievement, and none of them would have been possible without the support of our incredible community. This term, we have truly come together to make a difference, and I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished as a school.
A Community That Transforms Our School
It has been inspiring to see the dedication of our families and volunteers in action. Over the past few weeks, two separate groups of parents (with some exceptions) have generously given their time to enhance our school environment, beautifully improving the space for our children to enjoy.
The KS1 playground, in particular, has undergone an incredible transformation—if you haven’t been there in a while, I encourage you to take a look! It’s been a joy to see so many of you joining in with Wake and Shake, bringing energy and excitement to our mornings. The laughter, the dancing, and the shared moments of fun perfectly capture the spirit of Chilton.
This term has shown us that when we pull together as a community, we can achieve amazing things. As Head of School, I am only one person. But with a strong, dedicated staff team, the unwavering support of our families, and a school full of enthusiastic, kind-hearted children, we can create a school experience that is truly special.
A Term Full of Celebration
We have had so many opportunities to celebrate this term, and what a time we’ve had!
From the excitement of World Book Day, where our children brought stories to life, to the joy of Rock Your Socks Day, which highlighted the strength of inclusivity and awareness, every event has added something special to our term. And of course, we ended with a bang with yesterday’s Easter Bonnet Parade—what a display of creativity and colour! Seeing the children beam with pride as they showcased their wonderful designs was an absolute delight.
Thank you for every costume prepared, every contribution given, and every moment of encouragement—your support makes these events magical for our children.
Looking Ahead to Next Term – A Fast-Paced and Exciting Time!
As we look forward to next term, we know that it will be full of action, learning, and even more fantastic opportunities. Some highlights to look out for include:
· Come Dine with Me – A chance to share a special mealtime experience with the children. This time, we want to welcome you onto our field so you can see ‘Thrive Play’ in all its glory. We will be enjoying a picnic style lunch, so bring your blankets and (hopefully) enjoy the sunshine!
· The Viking Games – The annual sporting event that brings together our trust schools in the spirit of competition and teamwork.
And so much more! Keep an eye on our key dates for further details.
Important Reminder
Due to the bank holiday, we return to school on Tuesday, 22nd April.
A Final Thank You & Wishing You a Wonderful Easter!
As we wrap up this term, I just want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for your time, energy, and support. Thank you for trusting us to guide, teach, and nurture your children. Thank you for being part of this amazing community that makes Chilton such a special place to be.
I could not be more excited for what lies ahead next term, but for now, I wish you all a wonderful Easter holiday. Enjoy the rest, the family time, and (of course!) the chocolate.
See you all on Tuesday, 22nd April for another exciting term!
