Year 3 have had another wonderful week this week. Thank you for all the Summer Fayre donations that have come in this week! Here's what we've been up to:
Maths
In Maths this week, we have been looking at statistics. First, we looked at how different intervals are used for different scales. We then used some different scales on tally charts and bar charts. We then used Venn and Carroll Diagrams to classify different data. Next week, we will be looking at shape.
English
This week, we finished reading our Term 6 text, ' The Magical Journey of Edward Tulane' and we were delighted that Edward and Abilene were reunited after all of those years! We finished our narratives involving Edward before moving on to start a non-chronological report on the rainforest. We will be finishing this next week.
Thematic
This week, we completed our Term 6 Thematic unit of 'Rainforests'. We looked at the different layers of the rainforest and deforestation. Next week, we will be completing the end of unit quiz and studying RE.
For home learning this week, please could children complete a 24-25 highlights piece of learning. This can be presented in any way of their choosing but should include all of their favourite moments from Year 3.
