11.7.2025 Weekly News! 

Year 5 have had a wonderful final week of learning! It was wonderful to see so many of you at Sports Day. We have one final week to go in which the children will be spending 3 days with their new teachers in their new classrooms. Thursday and Friday will  be back to Year 5 for some end of term fun! 

Sports Day 

Yesterday, we all competed in a variety of activities to earn points to our House. It was a lovely morning with lots of smiley faces, great teamwork, passion and determination from all of the children. This year Red Romans were the KS2 winners of Sports Day. 

 

Money Sense 

This week, we have spent time learning about jobs, salaries and making decision about our money. We looked at what might influence our job choices, different ways in which people get paid for their jobs and how we make decisions about spending our money.  

 

Please can children bring in a carrier bag on Thursday to bring home any work from this year. Some Year 5 books (English, Maths and Thematic) will be kept in school until later in Year 6.

14th, 15th 16th July – Transition days; children to spend these days with their new class teachers 

Red Romans have a non-school uniform day on Thursday 17th July as they earnt the most House Points this term!   

17th July – Inflatable fun day in school for all children 

17th July 3.15pm-5.30pm – Year 6 Party at school 

18th July – School finishes at 2pm for Reception to Year 5
