Weekly News! 1.12.23
What a super week we have had this week! We have been looking at statistics! We have looked at tally charts, pictograms, bar charts, Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams. We have learnt that we can represent information in lots of different ways and use these to help us answer problems on information such as which is the most popular or how many people were asked a question.
Fact of the week!
Next week the fact is: 1 X 2 = 2
This week in English we have been looking at writing in first person! We wrote a diary entry as Stick Man focusing on thinking about emotions and how Stick Man would be feeling at each part of his little trip away.
In RWI this week we have been focusing on building up fluency when reading, this included focusing on pace, speed, expressions and reading punctuation. Any additional practice at home will be hugely beneficial.
This week in Thematic Curriculum, we started the week looking at sources and deciding which sources we think would be reliable to tell us information about The Great Fire of London. Later in the week, we looked at King Charles II who was king of the time of the fire. We looked at what King Charles II did after the fire to help London and us today!
Next week in:
Next week in English we are looking at letter writing.
Next week in Thematic we will be celebrating our Great Fire of London learning with Year 3 who learnt about the eveent last year.
Next week in maths we will be looking at money.
