Dear Families,
What a fantastic week it has been at Chilton Primary School!
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Come Dine with Me lunch. Your wonderful support made the event truly special. As always, Chloe and her team pulled out all the stops, impressing us all with their culinary delights. It was heart-warming to see families coming together to enjoy a delicious meal and the vibrant atmosphere in our dining hall.
This week, we’ve been immersed in Road Safety Awareness Week. The children have been learning about staying safe around roads and exploring the important roles people in our community play in keeping us safe. It has been inspiring to hear stories from the children about the vital jobs many of you do to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of society – thank you for sharing these with us!

With the weather taking a chilly turn, I’d like to echo my earlier reminders: please ensure your children come to school with coats, warm clothing, and any other items they might need to stay comfortable. If you would like your child to keep wellies at school, they are more than welcome to do so. This allows them to enjoy the outdoors during breaks and lunchtimes without getting wet or uncomfortable.

As the seasons change, we are continuing to strike a careful balance between indoor and outdoor play. While we promote wet play indoors during unsuitable weather, we also value the importance of fresh air and physical activity for the children’s wellbeing. Our sheltered areas remain available for children who prefer to stay dry while enjoying time outside when the rain is light.
