It gives me enormous pride and joy to be writing to you following the release of our latest Ofsted report – and I’m thrilled to share that Chilton Primary School continues to be officially recognised as Outstanding in all areas.

The inspection team were unable to find a single area for improvement. While that is an extraordinary achievement, it will come as no surprise to those of you who are part of our community every day – because you are a huge part of what makes Chilton so special.

From the moment we received the call, right through to the release of the report, I have been inundated with kind words and heartfelt messages from you all. Many of you even shared your thoughts directly with the inspector, name-dropping staff and describing your appreciation for the dedication, care and passion shown by the team. Your voices were heard loud and clear – and I thank you for them.

At Chilton, we’ve always believed that it takes a whole community to build a great school, and this report is a celebration of the partnership between staff, children and families. You have helped create the warm, inclusive, and aspirational environment that sets Chilton apart – where children, quite literally, dance into school each morning and leave each day with big smiles, strong values, and a love of learning.

Throughout this year, I’ve spoken again and again about Chilton being a place of happy children, happy parents, and happy staff. This report affirms that belief – but it also strengthens our drive to go even further. At Chilton, getting better never stops. Even though Ofsted found no next steps for improvement, we are already working on the next steps we believe will make our school even better.

We are relentless in our ambition: not just for academic excellence, but for an incredible journey along the way. We want our children to leave with wonderful resultsbrilliant memories, and a deep-rooted sense of pride in themselves and their school.

Thank you again for everything you do to support your children and the Chilton community. This celebration belongs to all of us – and we’re only just getting started.

With pride and gratitude,
Mr McAuley
