Thank you all for your wonderful enthusiasm this week. It really is such a joy to see so much positivity from the moment the gates open at 8:20 right through to the end of the day.

Our Reception children have now been in school full time, and they’ve been enjoying our incredible school dinners for the very first time! Many of you will know just how fantastic our kitchen team’s food is, especially if you’ve joined us for Come Dine With Me in the past – and I’m delighted to share that we’ll be running these sessions again this year.

Talking about school dinners, if you think your child may be entitled to free school meals, please do get in touch with the office. The eligibility criteria have recently changed and now could include many more families across the school. The office team will be more than happy to support you through the simple application process.

Yesterday, our Year 6 children sat the Kent Test. This can be a stressful experience, but they conducted themselves with the maturity and confidence that we have come to expect from such a fantastic cohort. I wish each of them the very best of luck with their results.

Next week, you are warmly invited to join us for our Big Breakfast initiative. This is a chance to come into your child’s classroom, see their learning environment, play some games together, and hear from the teacher about what their day looks like in their new year group. If you are unable to attend, please don’t worry – we’ll make sure you’re kept up to date in other ways.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Wake and Shake on Wednesday morning. It was such a fantastic turnout, and it really did feel like a big collective and community-focused start to the day.

As always, please remember that Mrs Reavill and I are available at the gates every morning. Whether you’d like to share a positive, raise a concern, or simply have a chat, we’re here to listen and support wherever we can.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend – we can’t wait to see you back in school next week.

Warm regards,
Mr McAuley
