Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Head's Up 21st November 2025

Dear Families,

Thank you for another wonderful week at Chilton Primary School. The energy, support, and sense of community have been fantastic, and we are truly grateful for everything you do to make our school such a special place.

This week, we were delighted to welcome our very first school sponsor. A huge thank you to SC Heating and Plumbing, who have become our Bronze Sponsor, generously donating £500 towards the installation of a new school pond. This exciting project will enhance outdoor learning for all children—from Forest School sessions in Reception through to the study of evolution and inheritance in Year 6. The pond will be a beautiful feature that leaves a lasting legacy for current pupils and many generations to come.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the volunteers who came into school yesterday to help give the school yet another facelift. Your time, energy, and support make such a difference, and we truly appreciate all that you do to help keep Chilton looking wonderful.

Come Dine With Me is now in full swing, and it has been wonderful welcoming so many of you into school. Sharing a meal together has created such lovely moments of connection, conversation, and community spirit—thank you for being a part of it.

Looking ahead to next week:

  • The Book Fayre will be returning and will be located in its usual space outside the Year 5 classrooms. We hope to see many of you there supporting a love of reading.

  • Reception will be going on the famous Naughty Bus ride down into Ramsgate—an experience that has been a highlight for Reception in previous years. We are sure they will have lots of fun!

  • Year 6 will be visiting the Viking Ship on Friday—an exciting opportunity to deepen their historical learning.

Finally, thank you for your continued patience with parking around school. We have had frequent visits since half term, and we expect these to continue. Ultimately, these measures are in place to keep our children safe and to help maintain a sensible flow of traffic. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend—we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday.

Warm wishes,

Mr McAuley
