We would like the children to choose a song that represents them. We will use this to create a year group playlist!
Important dates and messages
- 4th May: Bank Holiday Monday
- 5th May - 17th May: SATs breakfasts. All children are welcome to attend complimentary breakfasts from 8am. Please come to the Year 6 classrooms via green gate (not via the school office please) from 8am. If children are attending Chilton breakfast club from 7:30am, they will be collected from the hall at 8am.
- 11th May - 14th May: SATs Week. All children are welcome to attend complimentary breakfasts from 8am. English
This week, Year 6 spent time reading more of the book Kensuke and planned and wrote an action-packed war scene using action, dialogue and description. Next week, Year 6 will be continuing their action writing and preparing for their SATS tests that will happen the following week.
Maths
This week, Year 6 have spent time recapping maths that they learnt in Year 6 in preparation for their SATS. Next week, Year 6 will focus on fractions, decimals and percentages, time and scales.
Thematic
This week, Year 6 looked at trade routes and ports from around the world and spent time comparing European ports. We also looked at different trade routes that different products take to reach us in the UK.
