Our Year 6 Class Assembly:
This week the Year 6 children spent a lot of time preparing for their Year 6 class assembly. We hope all of you who attended enjoyed hearing about all the amazing learning and exciting trips we have been on. The children were a credit to us in their performance and enthusiasm to showcase what they have enjoyed this year.
Applying learning from our Science Jamboree:
On Thursday, the children took the opportunity to apply some of their learning as part of the science jamboree at Pfizer's Discovery Park and make their own bridges. The children worked in groups of four or five and had a different selection of materials to those offered at the jamboree. However, they were still required to think about the same structural aspects that would need to be used to make their bridge strong enough to hold a water bottle. Many of the children were successful and we had a range of different bridges that were able to achieve the design brief.
Production Update:
The children have continued to rehearse the songs to the production this week. We would appreciate it if you could continue to learn your lines for our performance (if you have them) and practise our songs. Please remember to bring in your costumes by Monday 29th June in a named carrier bag. Thank you for those who have already done this.
