Home Learning
Please can the children complete the maths rounding home learning sheet attached at the bottom of this BLOG. Here is a BBC Bitesize website that the children can also use to support their rounding in maths. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zh8dmp3
English
This week the children spent their punctuation and writing lessons focusing on dialogue and the differences between two differing characters in the book: Floodland. To help with their writing, the children used drama to show their dialogue. Next week, the children will focus on weaving action into their dialogue.
Maths
The children have focused on adding and subtracting negative numbers this week. They then moved on to rounding whole numbers and decimals. Please see our home learning activity below that the children can complete. Next week, the children will focus on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.
Thematic
This week we have learnt about adaptation and how animals adapt to their environment. We also explored fossils and how they are made. We then made replica fossils!
