One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 17th March

Good morning, Year 4! We hope you're ok and were able to tackle some of your learning successfully yesterday.

Thank you for all the work you shared, including some absolutely wonderful Good to be Me pieces! Mrs Gale and Mr Abel were very impressed! Remember you can email us or use the Padlet if you have anything to say, share or ask!

Maths

Today, we are going to look at different time conversions. Think about how different units of time are related to each other and how we can use multiplication and division to help us convert. The first set of problems involve seconds, minutes and hours. There is a second set of 'Challenge' conversions which are more tricky and involve a wider range of conversions.

For the Classroom Secrets resources that we are using, D = 'Mild', E = 'Spicy' and GD = 'Hot'

English

Today, you are going to use your expanded noun phrases and your prediction to write a story about the Water Tower. There is a sheet attached to help you practise further on expanded noun phrases, if you feel you need it. Try and use emotive language to show your reader how your characters are feeling.

Topic

Continuing the 'Good to be Me' theme, we would like you to create a piece of work based on Diversity (powerpoint attached)

Have a great day and a great weekend! (Oh, and if you're confused about the thumbnail, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfVsfOSbJY0
