Good morning Year 6! What are you going to do to make someone smile today?
Please ignore the post that is below this one; it crashed and cannot be deleted.
A reminder that we would like you to learn the following dance routine - or part of it - performed brilliantly by Miss Taylor. We would like everyone to participate to this video, no matter how small. Have fun with it though. The song is 'Rain On Me' by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. The deadline for you to send your performances is TODAY. Feel free to watch the video a few times first and pause it where necessary. Just like in your dance lessons at school, practise, practise and practise!
Here is your Guided Reading for today:
Here is your English for today:
Here is your Maths for today:
Let's start with Maoam Maths. As always, give yourself 3 minutes to work through these questions. How many can you get correct? We'll go through them from tomorrow.
Today, we will be reminding ourselves of area and perimeter. The area is the space that a 2D shape takes up. The perimeter is the distance around the outside. Click here to watch a video about area and perimeter. To find the area of an oblong, multiply the length by the width. To calculate the perimeter, find the total (adding) of all the sides.
Alternatively - or as well as - try to work through some of these questions:
Here is your PSHE for today:
This week, we will be discussing rules and laws. Firstly, click here to watch a video of the Rule of Law. What rules do we abide by at school? Can you name them? Why do we have them? Who came up with them, do you think, and why?
Chilton's school values are Respect, Equality, Courage and Kindness. Our school Rule is Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Kind.
Which rules do we live by outside of school? Why are these rules important?
A message from Miss Knight concerning the Viking Games is attached at the bottom of this blog.
Finally, here is some artwork from Mrs. Rowland-Hill's class last Friday:
Have a terrific day!
