Friday 12th September
Message for Year 6 parents - Please find a Secondary Applications letter posted at the bottom of the page.
Wednesday 10th September
Message for Year 1 parents - As part of our thematic learning this term, “My Home, My Town,” Year 1 will be exploring what Ramsgate was like in the past, alongside how life has changed for our families over time.
We would love our children to understand the differences between past and present in their own lives and those of others, to see how experiences can be both similar and different across generations, and to begin learning about their own life stories and family history.
To bring this learning to life, we would like to warmly invite parents and grandparents into school on Wednesday 24th September at 1:45pm. If you are able, please bring along any old photos, toys, or objects from the past that could help the children see how things have changed. We will provide the tea and coffee 🙂
These will be displayed in the hall as part of a “mini-museum,” where the children can walk around, explore the items, and ask questions to learn more about them.
We look forward to sharing these special memories with the children and making history meaningful for them.
With thanks and best wishes,
The Year 1 Team
Dear families, Next week we will be holding 'Meet and Greet' sessions with your child's teacher. These will take place on Tuesday 16th for years 1 and 2, Wednesday 17th for years 3 and 4 and Thursday 18th for years 5 and 6. They will take place at drop off time, so please feel free to come into school with your child that morning, where there will be some games set up for you to play with them. The 'Meet and Greet' will start at 8.45am and last around ten minutes. This will entail the teacher introducing themselves and their staff team to you, discussing what the year will look like for your child and ways you can help at home. We look forward to the sessions and hope you find them beneficial.
Wednesday 3rd September
This September, Chilton Primary School turns 50, and we would love to welcome back our alumni and past staff to celebrate this special milestone.
📅 Date: Thursday 25th September
🕕 Time: 6:00–7:30pm
Come and step back in time with us—browse old photos, find your name in the original registration book, and take a tour to see how the school looks today. There will be tea, coffee, and of course, birthday cake, as well as plenty of chances to reconnect with old friends and colleagues.
If you’d like to attend, please email office@chiltonprimary.co.uk with your name and intention to join us.
We’d also love to include your memories—if you have photos from your time at Chilton, please drop them into the office or email them ahead of the day so we can feature them in our display.
We look forward to celebrating with you! 🎉

Tuesday 2nd September
Message for Reception parents - Please find posted at the bottom of the page information regarding the upcoming Reception Baseline Assessments.
After school sports and activity clubs will be available to book via your MCAS app from 6pm today until 9am on Thursday 4th September. Please note that there are no sports clubs for Reception this term. To ensure that places on clubs are offered fairly, please note that when applying, it will not be first come-first served and every child will initially be placed on a waiting list. If your child has previously attended Choir, you will need to reapply for a place for this year.
Just a quick note to let you know that the price of school dinners has increased slightly to £2.70 per day. This covers a two-course meal and continues to offer great value for money, providing your child with a nutritious and balanced lunch every day. Thank you for your continued support!
