Head's Up 13th June 2025
Dear Families,
Thank you all so much for your continued engagement and support – it has been another wonderful week here at Chilton, packed with inspiring experiences that have taken learning far beyond the classroom walls.
Our children have been out and about this week, making unforgettable memories and bringing their learning to life. Year 2 had a fantastic time exploring the habitats at Wildwood, where they saw their curriculum come to life right in front of them. It took some real bravery to cross the rope bridge for a better look at the bears… and that was just me!
Meanwhile, our Year 6 children attended a Science Jamboree at Discovery Park – an incredible opportunity that allowed them to explore the wonders of science in real-world settings. The moments of magic and discovery truly inspired the children and may well have sparked the ambition of some future scientists!
And today, our Reception children have ventured out to Wingham, where they’re exploring the popular dinosaur exhibition – one I’m sure many of us enjoyed. I’ve no doubt they’ll return full of knowledge about prehistoric creatures, from where they lived to how we’ve discovered so much about them.
Thank you also for your cooperation and understanding with the recent change to our bike and scooter parking area. We’ve been thrilled to see such a surge in the number of children choosing to cycle and scoot to school – a brilliant and healthy start to the day! With the current demand, I’m now looking into increasing our parking capacity and revitalising the old scooter area so it can serve a new purpose to support learning even further.
