Dear Families,

What a fantastic week it has been at Chilton! Thank you all for your continued enthusiasm and support – it really does make such a difference to our school community.

A special thank you to everyone who joined us for this week’s Meet and Greet. It was a brilliant opportunity to step into the classroom, play games with your child, and hear about what their new year group will look like. The atmosphere was buzzing, and I’ve received so much positive feedback from both teachers and families. Our staff loved seeing the classrooms filled with laughter and energy, and many of you told us how valuable it was to experience the morning routine at Chilton. Thank you for embracing the event with such positivity!

The big launch this week was Chilton’s Outdoor Adventure! This whole-school initiative is designed to nurture resilience, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and a love of the outdoors and other cultures. From Forest School in Reception and KS1 to campfires, camping, and residentials in KS2, we are so excited about what lies ahead. We know these plans are ambitious, but we truly believe these experiences will not only enrich children’s education but also create lifelong memories with their friends – moments they will treasure forever. The feedback from families has once again been overwhelmingly positive, and we can’t wait to get started.

Speaking of lifelong memories, next Thursday evening Chilton will celebrate its 50th Birthday! The doors will be open between 6 and 7:30pm, as we welcome back present and former pupils, parents, and staff. Since 1975, Chilton has been at the heart of our community, shaping friendships, stories, and experiences that have lasted across generations. We would love for you to be part of this celebration. If you would like to come – whether you have a child currently at the school, once attended yourself, or your family has been connected with Chilton in some way – please RSVP with the office so we know who to expect. We’ll be delighted to share tea, birthday cake, and wonderful memories with you as we mark this very special milestone.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend – we look forward to seeing you next week for what promises to be another exciting and memorable time at Chilton!

Warm regards,
Mr McAuley
