Head's Up 7th November 2025

Dear Families,
What a fantastic week it’s been at Chilton! Thank you all for your continued engagement and support — it really does make such a difference to the life and energy of our school community.
As the weather turns wetter, please could I remind everyone to send children in with wellies so they can enjoy the grass and trees during lunchtime play. Children are also very welcome to bring waterproof trousers and coats if you’re concerned about muddy clothes — we want everyone to enjoy being outdoors whatever the weather!

A special mention this week goes to Year 2, who had a wonderful trip to Ramsgate Fire Station. The visit really brought their learning to life, and the children came back buzzing with excitement and new knowledge — thank you to the staff and volunteers who made it possible.

Next week is shaping up to be a very busy and exciting week full of special days:
-
Tuesday: Remembrance Day – children are welcome to come to school in any service organisation uniforms, such as Beavers, Rainbows, Brownies, or Cubs, as we take time to reflect and remember together.
-
Thursday: We’ll be celebrating both Michael Rosen Day and World Kindness Day, with activities that focus on creativity, compassion, and connection.
-
Friday: It’s Children in Need! Children can come to school wearing something spotty and bring in a donation of around £1 to support this brilliant cause.

Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind all families to be respectful in communications — with one another, with staff, and with the children. At Chilton, respect is one of our core values, and it’s vital that we all model it in the way we interact each day. Please also note that we have a zero-tolerance policy on abuse towards any member of staff.
