Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Head's Up 28th November 2025

Dear Families,

What a wonderful week it has been at Chilton Primary School! I want to begin by saying a huge thank you for your continued engagement and positivity. Your warm welcomes and friendly faces at the school gates each morning—despite the cold weather—really set the tone for the day and mean so much to us. We truly appreciate your support.

Sports Hall Athletics Success

A huge well done to our fantastic Sports Hall Athletics team who competed last weekend at Ursuline School. They demonstrated true determination, teamwork, and resilience—our Chilton sporting values shining brightly throughout the whole morning. We are incredibly proud to share that they finished the competition in second place overall!
Thank you also to the parents and carers who got everyone there bright and early; your support means the world and gives our children the opportunities to shine. Well done to our brilliant athletes!

Reception – The Naughty Bus Adventure!

A massive congratulations to our Reception children who went on their very first school trip this week as part of their Naughty Bus learning adventure! They were brilliant ambassadors for our school—curious, excited, polite, and full of joy. The children had an amazing time and it was a pleasure to take them on such a special trip. We are incredibly proud of them!

Pablo’s Visits

Pablo has once again had a busy week meeting and greeting the children across the school. In addition to his one-to-one time, he enjoyed spending time with our Year 4 children, who showed such kindness and enthusiasm. Next week, he is really looking forward to meeting Year 5, followed by Year 6 before we break for Christmas.

A Polite Attendance Reminder

A reminder that school registers are taken at 8:45am, and it is important that children are in school before this time.

  • Gates open: 8:20am

  • Classroom doors open: 8:30am

We know that at this time of year it feels like everyone has a cough, a sniffle, or the world’s most dramatic tickly throat—staff included! Please don’t worry about sending children in if they are just a bit bunged up or coughy; they’re absolutely welcome in school and we don’t want them missing valuable learning for the sake of a sniffle. We promise tissues, care, and smiles are always provided!

If you are delayed for any reason, please bring your child to the school office so that they do not miss the register and can let us know their lunch choice.

Thank you once again for a brilliant week full of energy and smiles. Have a wonderful weekend, and we can’t wait to see you all again next week.

Warmest wishes,

Mr McAuley
