Head's Up 16th January 2026

Dear Families,
Thank you all for your participation in what has been a wonderful, albeit wet and windy, week at Chilton Primary School. Despite the weather, it has been lovely to see the continued positivity and engagement from our children and families.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support with everything we are doing in school at the moment. Your understanding and encouragement make a huge difference to our school community.

I would also like to thank you for your patience and understanding when it comes to wet playtimes. Please be reassured that when the weather is particularly poor, we always ensure that children are kept indoors where it is warm and dry. At the same time, we recognise the importance of fresh air and meaningful movement breaks, and when it is safe to do so, we aim to give children the opportunity to get outside and enjoy this.

We always endeavour to strike the right balance, so thank you once again for supporting our decisions, whether children are inside or out during wet playtimes. If your child is coming home a little muddy and you would like to send them in with waterproof trousers for playtime, you are more than welcome to do so.

I would like to wish you all a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all again next week.
