Head's Up 22nd May 2026

Dear Families,
What a week it has been!
Firstly, thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm throughout another wonderful week at Chilton Primary School. The annual Viking Games has once again been such a special moment of togetherness for all three Viking schools. Seeing children from different schools come together, forge new friendships and support one another has been incredible to witness.

Despite the weather at the beginning of the week, which thankfully improved as the days progressed, almost 1,400 children have come together to enjoy sport, active participation and friendship. We are immensely proud of this event and everything it represents. Most importantly, we hope your children have enjoyed being part of it as much as we have enjoyed organising and celebrating it with them.

Today — which is tomorrow as I write this newsletter — sees us all come together again, but under very different circumstances. Our Be Here, Be You, Belong focus this term has been both powerful and deeply moving. Celebrating the individuality of our children, encouraging them to be themselves and empowering them to feel proud of who they are has been truly incredible to see.

The finale to this term is, of course, our parade — always a spectacular occasion! We warmly welcome you all to come along and celebrate with us: celebrate our children, celebrate their personalities, their interests and celebrate everything that makes them uniquely themselves.

After such a celebratory term, it feels only fitting that we finish with a bang!
We wish you all a wonderful and restful half-term holiday and we cannot wait to welcome you back for Term 6.
