Dear Families,
Thank you, as always, for your support and engagement with school this week.
One of the things I value most about Chilton is the relationship that exists between our families and the team here at school. It is something that has been built over many years and is based on a huge amount of mutual trust, respect and, most importantly, a shared commitment to our children.
Behind everything we do at Chilton are real people who genuinely love working with children. Some members of our team have been doing this for more than 20 years, yet their commitment, enthusiasm and ambition for the children in their care remains every bit as strong today as it was at the beginning of their careers. That matters enormously.
And, of course, we are human! We have days when we arrive at school with a sore throat or a headache and still give everything we have to the children. We have families of our own, with all the joy and occasional challenges that brings. Sometimes we forget something, sometimes our words don't come out quite as we intended, and sometimes, despite our very best efforts, we simply get something wrong.
I think the strength of Chilton is that there is such a deep level of trust between our school and our families. I hope you know that the decisions we make and the actions we take are always rooted in wanting the very best for your children. We won't always get everything perfect, but we will always care, we will always listen and we will always try to put things right when we need to.
That is why open and respectful communication is so important. My door is always open, whether something feels very small or very significant. The same is true of our whole team. If something is worrying you, please talk to us. Those conversations work best when we begin from the understanding that we are all on the same side: helping, nurturing and supporting the wonderful children who come through our doors each day.
