Weekly News! 3.4.25

What a fantastic week to cap off another amazing term!
English
Throughout English this week, we have been writing our own narrative about Odysseus, his men and the mythical creature we created earlier on in the term. We focused on third person, past tense, fronted adverbials and adding cohesion to our paragraphs. Next term will be starting a new book called 'The Street Child'.
Maths
During our maths lessons this week, we have been looking at coordinates. Firstly, we recapped our prior knowledge about how to read coordinates in the first quadrant, moving on to reading coordinates in up to four quadrants. Later on in the week, we moved on to reflecting different points using a mirror line and reflecting different shapes into the four quadrants.
RE
This week in RE, we have been looking at Buddhism. We looked at the story of Prince Siddhartha and why it was important. We researched how Buddhists worship and the symbols related to it and finally, we looked at how Buddhists believe in karma and reincarnation.
