Production-Pure Imagination
We are incredibly proud of the Year 6 children. Their production was fantastic and the glowing feedback we had from parents, teachers and other children at the school is a testimonial to that. The children worked incredibly hard during their final rehearsals and really showcased their talents at their best over the two performances on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not only did the children show courage and resilience, but they also genuinely enjoyed performing for an audience. The elation the children felt at the end of the show was a heart-warming moment. Well done to all of you.
Sports Day
This year’s sports day was a real hit. With activities such as the wet sponge race, javelin, tug of war and hurdles, the children had a great range of sporting events. Throughout the morning, the children showed our sporting values of passion, teamwork, self-belief, honesty, respect and determination. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and it ended with the traditional Year 6 water race. We had some soaked but ecstatic children!
Money Sense Day
On Friday, Chilton worked on the mathematical on Money Sense. The year six children looked at the following areas: the risks that are involved in gambling, the different ways money can be won or lost through gambling- related activities and their impact on health, wellbeing and future aspirations. To identify the ways that money can impact on people’s feelings and emotions and to recognise a variety of routes into careers (e.g college, apprenticeship, university)
