Activity Week

We have had a fantastic week full of engaging activities. To start our activity week, we ventured to Elevate where the children bounced away their energy. After that, we went to Boonies at Betteshanger. The children and adults had so much fun undertaking a range of obstacles, such as monkey bars, swinging over water, climbing a wall, crawling under a cargo net and zooming down a slip and slide! To culminate the week’s activities, we made our way to the Ramsgate tunnels. The children reflected on all they have learnt as part of their World War Two topic whilst immersing themselves in local history. We hope the children enjoyed their activity week!

Art

This week the children worked on their sculpture topic. We focused on drawing the human body using scale and form. We then looked at two artists: Henry Moore and Jeff Koons, reflecting on their style and the materials in which they work. The children then used a range of materials to sculpt their own human form models. The materials included Play-Doh, tin foil and natural materials from the forest school.

We hope you have a wonderful half-term break, and we can’t wait to see you in Term 6.

Home Learning

Year 6 will be performing a production this year. More details to follow. If children would like a speaking part, they should prepare something to perform for an audition for Friday 6th June.
