English

This week, Year 6 wrote a Ship’s Log based on the one from the book: Kensuke’s Kingdom.  The children manipulated their tenses whilst still writing in role as Micheal, Mum or Dad.  Next week, we will write our own narrative based on the same book.  We will show characterisation when two differing characters interact with each other.

Maths

This week, Year 6 interrupted different pie charts. They used their four operations of number to solve calculations.  They also used their fraction, decimals and percentage knowledge to answer problems linked to the pie charts.

Thematic

This week, Year 6 learnt about the role that women had in WW2 and the impact that WW2 had post WW2.  We were also really lucky to have Ella’s grandparents come in to talk to us about how the war affected their families.
