Important Messages

- Due to the bad weather we had this week, Boonies is now on Monday 8th June.  We will leave school at 9am but will leave Boonies at 3pm.  Therefore, we will be back to school a little later than normal.  Children will need to wear appropriate clothing for climbing that will be OK to get muddy (and ruined!) as well as spare clothing to get dressed in afterwards.  This includes a spare pair of trainers.  Please also bring a towel, a bag (to carry wet clothing), water and a packed lunch.   

- On Thursday, the children will be going to Pfizer for a Science Jamboree.  They will need to wear school uniform and will be back to school for lunch.  This has always been a fun experience and we hope the children will enjoy it.

Activity Week

We have had a lot of fun this week playing hard!  On Wednesday, we visited Elev8 where we bounced, leapt, fell about and slid, returning to school in sweaty messes!  The children played really nicely with each other and included everyone in their games.

    

    

    

On Thursday, we went to Ramsgate Tunnels where we built upon our existing knowledge of World War II to learn about the effects of the war on Ramsgate.  The children were very awe-struck at how people lived during wartime.

    

English

We have now finished reading Kensuke's Kingdom and thoroughly enjoyed the ending - we even watched the film and compared their differences!  From the text, we wrote a non-chronological report on palm oil, including the benefits and dangers of its usage.  Next week, we will be watching a short animation on the famous Pere LaChaise cemetery as well as a clip of the BFG and writing narratives based on them.

Love 2 Learn

Today, the children learnt which parts they will play for our school production, which will be shown to parents on July 8th and 9th (and July 7th to children).  For love to learn, we would like the children to begin to learn their lines (if they asked for some) as well as learn the lyrics to our songs.  Here are some links to them:
