Good Morning Year 6!
Shout Outs!
Have a look at some of the work created yesterday. Well done everyone!
NATIONAL ROCKY ROAD DAY
June 2nd is a day made for chocolate, marshmallows, and nuts. It’s National Rocky Road Day! In the United States, the most popular way to eat Rocky Road is in ice cream.
Although there are many variations, traditionally, Rocky Road ice cream was made of chocolate ice cream, nuts, and marshmallows. Today, there are variations with vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and almonds.
Why don’t you try some cooking today and find a recipe and treat yourself to some home-made rocky road

Today we would like you to review your understanding of word classes: nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Attached below is a sheet where you need to colour in the word in depending on what word class it is. There is a colour key at the bottom of the sheet. Here are some links if you are finding it difficult to remember the word classes.

Today we would like you to undertake the plant crossword below which will revise some of the terminology from yesterday’s labelling of a plant. We would then like you to complete the table which requires you to investigate different plant types, draw a diagram and give an example. You may wish to go into your garden or on a walk to see if you can find examples of these or you can use the Internet to help you with your research. If you would prefer to do an annotated poster with the different plant classes, you can do this too.
