Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 8th November 2024

Dear families,

I hope you all had a restful and joyful break over the holiday. It’s been fantastic to welcome everyone back, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for helping us ensure such a smooth, positive start to Term 2. The children have returned with such enthusiasm and energy—it’s a true testament to the wonderful support you provide at home. We’re already off to a fantastic term, and I couldn’t be prouder of our Chilton community!

This week, many of you attended our parent-teacher consultations, and I hope you found them insightful and valuable. It’s always a pleasure to discuss your children’s progress, and I know our teachers enjoyed the opportunity to connect with you and share updates on your children’s learning and development. Thank you for your continued involvement and partnership in helping each child thrive at Chilton. If you were unable to meet your child's teacher this week, you can always make arrangements to discuss your child's progress at any other time.

Yesterday, we had an exciting day with our school photos! The children were all smiles, and we can’t wait for you to see their happy faces captured in these special moments. Our school office will send out some communication to let you know when the pictures are ready to be viewed, so please keep the QR code safe. We hope they bring you as much joy as they brought us in capturing them!

Looking ahead to next week, we have some wonderful events planned to make the week even more memorable:

  • 11th November - Remembrance Day: We will be honouring those who have served with a minutes silence at 11 minutes past 11. If your child is a member of Scouts, Guides, Brownies, or another Service organisation, they are warmly invited to wear their uniforms for the day. It’s always a meaningful day, and we look forward to paying tribute together as a school community.

  • 15th November - Children in Need: Get ready for a spotty celebration! To support this fantastic cause, children can come to school wearing something spotty—be it a shirt, headband, socks, or even a full spotty outfit! It’s a wonderful chance to bring a splash of colour to our school while making a positive impact on children’s lives across the UK. We ask you to send in a small donation for Children in Need, if you are able to. Let’s make it a day to remember!

Thank you all for a truly wonderful start to this new term. Your continued support and involvement are so appreciated, and together, we’re making Chilton Primary School a vibrant, joyful place for all our children.
