Dear Families,
Thank you for your enthusiasm and support this week—especially in braving the unpredictable weather! Your energy and engagement, as always, make such a difference. A special thank you to everyone who purchased sweets at the end of the day yesterday. Every penny raised goes straight back into PTA funds, which are spent directly on enriching the experience of our children at Chilton.
As a reminder, next week, we’ll be selling ‘Wonka’ bars, each containing a surprise prize! Fingers crossed for a golden ticket—good luck!
Learning This Week
This week in school, we have been focusing on British Values and Oracy. The children have been exploring what British Values mean and how they shape our school community. Meanwhile, through our Oracy competition, The Speaker, students have been trying to persuade me to introduce a new subject at Chilton. The ideas so far have ranged from palaeontology to sweet-making—I know which lesson I’d like to join!
Looking Ahead – World Book Day!
Next week brings one of the highlights of the school year—World Book Day! This is always a dress-up extravaganza, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s fantastic costumes. More importantly, it’s a chance to celebrate our shared love of language, stories, and imagination.
