One Childhood, One Chance

Year 5

The children have had an excellent start to the academic year as they've approached their lessons with real enthusiasm! Their willingness to learn has been noted by all members of the Y5 team. Within core subjects, pupils have had opportunities to work independently and in groups whilst having access to a range of resources. In Maths, children have been focusing on Place Value and comparing & ordering numbers. During English, pupils have been eagerly sharing their experiences of the Summer Holiday's through a range of drama, vocabulary collection and planning activities; these tasks will enable them to write a high quality descriptive recount by the end of the week.

Overall, a positive start to life in Y5 - please keep up your high levels of motivation and endeavour.

The Year 5 team.
