# Daily Blog 01.04.20

Good morning everyone!

Technically, this is the last day of term so this will be the last blog until we resume again in Term 5 (Thursday 16th April).  Of course, please continue to communicate with your class teachers (with your work) and friends through social media, padlet or through email.  This is your time to relax though!  With this difficult time in lockdown, of course we will keep your parents up to date with information about when school will reopen.  However, we do not know as of yet ourselves.  Throughout the Easter holiday, we would like you to complete the work in your packs.

Here are some Maths challenges for you to test your brain.  The first one, you can choose whether to do Mild (Green), Spicy (Pink) or Hot (Purple).  Remember, to change an improper fraction into a mixed number, divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number).  To convert a mixed number into an improper fraction, multiply the whole number by the denominator and add the numerator.  The denominator stays the same.  There is a guide underneath too:

Here is the writing tasks for you today:

Also attached are some tips for your parents that will help you whilst you are being temporarily home schooled.  Please make sure they have an opportunity to read them.  Hopefully yyou have been helping your parents more at home.  We would also like you to send himm some photos of what you have been doing around the house to help.  You can either email us or put them straight onto padlet.

Finally, to get you up and moving, the Year 6 teachers would like you to time yourself to find the following items in your house:

1) Tartan paint

2) A step ladder to reach skirting boards

3) Spirit level bubbles

4) A left handed lamp

Who can get them the fastest?! ;)

Have a lovely Easter - stay in touch!
